Founder Partner, The Next Step
I am Deepa Ranganath, Founder Partner of The Next Step. For several years, I have had the privilege of working closely with students as they try to answer some very large questions about who they want to become and how they are going to get there.
I have worked with well over a hundred students across different interests, personalities and ambitions, including young people who have gone on to pursue law, entrepreneurship and several other professional pathways. What I enjoy most is taking the time to understand each student in detail and then building their journey from the beginning. Their academics, extracurriculars, internships, projects, research, competitions and independent work should make sense together because they should make sense for that particular student.
That philosophy became central to The Next Step. We build portfolios from scratch around the individual child, helping them develop meaningful achievements and eventually bring those experiences together into a university application narrative that genuinely reflects who they are and where they want to go.
