A profile is
built, not
collected.

The Next Step is a personalised profile building, career development and university counselling service for students, with a strong focus on those aspiring to study abroad. We work with students from an early stage to help them understand their interests, develop meaningful academic and extracurricular experiences, and build a coherent profile that supports their long term university goals.

The problem we solve

From scattered to specific.

The Next Step helps students move from having scattered interests or an undeveloped profile to having a clear, purposeful and competitive university application.

We identify each student's strengths, interests and ambitions, then develop them through carefully selected projects, research, internships, competitions, courses, creative work and other experiences that contribute to a strong personal narrative.

The result is direction, resources and sustained support. A profile that genuinely reflects who the student is and where they want to go, rather than a set of activities assembled because someone said they would look good.

Many counselling services become heavily involved during the final application stage. Our process begins much earlier.

How it actually works

We read the whole student before we plan anything.

Academic strengths. Interests. Personality. Wellbeing. Existing experiences. Future ambitions. All of it together, connected into one direction, then developed deliberately.

Example

Four interests, one project.

A student interested in behavioural science, nutrition, economics and marketing could develop an interdisciplinary project exploring how marketing influences consumer food choices, behaviour and wellbeing.

That single piece of work does what four unrelated activities cannot: it shows a mind that connects things. It gives an admissions reader something to hold on to.

Consequence

The application develops a genuine narrative.

Instead of becoming a collection of unrelated activities, each element of the profile supports the same direction, and can be spoken about honestly in an essay or an interview, because the student actually did the thinking.

Our one to one approach also lets us adapt around individual academic, emotional, learning, financial or personal circumstances, and identify universities and opportunities suited to that specific student.

Grade 9 to Grade 12

Why we start in Grade 9.

Meaningful profile development requires time, consistency and long term planning. Each year does a different job, and none of them can be compressed.

Grade 9

Exploration, subject planning and early profile development. This is where we find out what the interest actually is.

Grade 10

Building stronger academic and extracurricular depth. Projects get more substantial and start to connect.

Grade 11

Depth becomes credibility. Research, internships, competitions and recognition outside school.

Grade 12

Application intensive. University selection, essays, interviews and final admissions strategy.

We work exclusively with students from Grade 9 onwards and do not currently work with students below Grade 9.

Where we meet

In person in Noida, or online. Usually both.

Students can meet the TNS team in person at our office, or attend regular online meetings through Google Meet.

Online meetings are used frequently for counselling, progress reviews, planning and weekly or monthly follow up meetings. Students and families are welcome to meet the team in person whenever required.

This hybrid approach keeps us closely involved with students regardless of their schedules, while keeping face to face guidance available when it matters.

Based in Delhi NCR

A recent startup, built on longer experience.

The Next Step is based in Delhi NCR, India, and works with students and families seeking personalised career development and university guidance, including international admissions support. TNS is a recently developed startup; our founder brings around five years of experience in the field.

We would rather say that plainly than dress it up. What matters to a family choosing a counsellor is the depth of attention their child receives and the judgement of the people advising them, both of which you can assess directly in a consultation.
